eCommerce Day 2024: The Third Edition of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Leading Digital Commerce Conference Successfully Held

The third edition of our eCommerce Day conference, held under the slogan “eCommerce Galvanized! Don’t Hold Back!”, concluded successfully in a recognizable atmosphere of innovation, inspiration, and knowledge sharing. As organizers, we are proud to have brought together leading experts, company representatives, institutions, and digital economy enthusiasts from across the country and the region.

This year’s program was carefully designed to cover the key aspects of digital commerce, sparking great interest and attracting a wide audience. We provided a platform for sharing knowledge on current trends such as sustainability, logistics, digital security, and the integration of eCommerce into public institutions. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of aligning with global standards while retaining local specificities, as we believe this is crucial for strengthening the competitiveness of domestic companies. Together with participants, we highlighted the importance of integrating technology and innovation into all business segments to improve efficiency and meet the growing needs of digital consumers.

One of the most notable sessions focused on the Temu app, which has captured global attention as a disruptive force in digital commerce. We explored the “secrets” behind Temu’s success—its innovative approach that has redefined customer expectations and set new standards in online retail. Participants had the opportunity to gain insights into the strategies that enabled Temu to expand across diverse markets, underlining the importance of technology, customer experience, and consumer-driven adaptation in today’s eCommerce landscape.

Our discussions on logistics and sustainability revealed that these segments are key to building long-term value in the eCommerce sector. We also addressed digital transaction security, highlighting the role of transparency and trust, while in the segment on public sector digitalization we provided concrete insights into how to improve user experience and simplify citizen access to services.

The conference concluded with a joint assessment that eCommerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina is entering a new phase of development—one in which collaboration between the private and public sectors, supported by international partners, will play a vital role. As the central event for digital commerce in the country, eCommerce Day 2024 once again confirmed its importance, and we are already eagerly planning the 2025 edition.

This conference would not have been possible without the support of our partners and sponsors: Monri Payments, Mastercard, the Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, Mozaik Foundation, X Express Courier, and BH Telecom. Their contribution was essential to the success of the event, and we extend our deepest gratitude.
