eCommerce Networking Nights: The Synergy of eCommerce and ESG as a Driver of Sustainable Development

Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to follow global trends in digital commerce, and the recently held eCommerce Networking Nights 2025 demonstrated how actively the domestic eCommerce sector contributes to sustainable development through ESG practices. Organized by the eCommerce Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina in partnership with Mozaik ESG Solutions, the event brought together leaders from various sectors to discuss the role of digital commerce in accelerating the adoption of sustainable practices, opening new markets, and strengthening business competitiveness.

The panel was moderated by Anela Karahasan from the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and featured Rasim Memagić, CEO of Alma Ras; Vilma Tunjić Juzbašić, CEO of Mozaik ESG Solutions; Sanel Bosnić, Vice President of Stanić Trade; and Erol Ferović, Country Manager of Ananas BiH. They addressed key questions about the real value of ESG principles for companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the role of eCommerce in implementing sustainable standards, and ways in which digital trade contributes to long-term development and inclusion.

During the panel, it was emphasized that digital commerce can accelerate ESG adoption by increasing transparency and efficiency, making products accessible even to consumers in remote areas, and reducing the environmental footprint of business operations. Rasim Memagić highlighted the importance of having ESG managers in companies and shared examples of sustainable practices in production and logistics. Vilma Tunjić Juzbašić presented the digital platform ReUseChain.ba, aimed at promoting a circular economy. Erol Ferović stressed that Ananas BiH prioritizes local producers who comply with ESG standards, while Sanel Bosnić explained how integrating ESG principles at Stanić Trade contributes to more efficient inventory management and packaging optimization.

Moderator Anela Karahasan concluded that events like this help modernize the market and strengthen competitiveness, while Orhan Gazibegović, President of the eCommerce Association in BiH, emphasized that digital commerce is becoming a natural ally of sustainable development, connecting business growth with social and environmental responsibility.

The evening concluded in the signature Networking Nights spirit, featuring idea exchange, business networking, and the vibrant energy of central Sarajevo, highlighting the importance of connection and dialogue for the growth of the digital economy and sustainable business practices.
