AI – To Be or Not to Be of eCommerce: CRO Commerce 2025 in the Sign of Artificial Intelligence

Forget the old business templates – what worked a few months ago is already outdated today. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become the central topic of the global eCommerce industry, and it will be in the spotlight at this year’s CRO Commerce Conference, taking place on October 14, 2025, at the Mozaik Event Center in Zagreb.

Organized by eCommerce Croatia, an association that brings together more than 500 online merchants, CRO Commerce (powered by Shipshape) enters its 7th edition with a rich program – presentations and workshops on three stages, networking in the EXPO zone, and an afterparty gathering.

The main focus will be on the application of AI technologies in ecommerce and marketing, but the agenda will also cover the latest developments in logistics, digital payments, accounting, and legal frameworks. Long-standing conference partners include leading companies such as Monri, Lesnina, DPD, Boxnow, euShipments, VIVnetworks, Plus Hosting, Hero Factory, and many others, with Shipshape as the main partner of this year’s event.

Human in the loop – the growing role of people

While AI is rapidly transforming business processes, experts emphasize that the role of humans in control and decision-making remains irreplaceable. Automation brings speed and efficiency, but it also requires human oversight, clear boundaries, and intervention protocols to avoid errors and ensure transparency.

This will also be the focus of Ivan Bildi, founder of the Masterbox platform and keynote speaker of the conference. According to him, merchants should start exploring and using AI as early as possible – while the tools are still simple and accessible. “In a year or two, when tools become more complex, integrations deeper, and market expectations higher, it will be much harder to catch up,” Bildi pointed out, adding that personal education on AI is becoming a crucial skill for every merchant.

The program will be enriched with insights from top regional experts including Miroslav Varga (Google Ads), Marko Pačar (SEO), Ivan Radić (AI automation), Aleksandar Ašković (YouTube), Ernest Antolović (CX) and many others. The conference will also provide an overview of new regulatory changes in digital commerce.

Mark your calendars for October 14, 2025 – a full-day program of knowledge sharing, networking, and connecting with the regional eCommerce community. The conference will be opened by Marcel Majsan, President of eCommerce Croatia, with a dynamic agenda designed to deliver continuous exchange of ideas, insights, and new business opportunities.
