Prof. Dr. Almir Peštek

Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo

Dr. Almir Peštek is a full professor at the Department of Marketing at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo. He studied economics at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo, where he graduated in 1999, received his master's degree in 2006 and his doctorate in 2009. He is the recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship during his academic career as well In 2014/2015, he attended Loyola University Chicago - Quinlan School of Business. As a visiting professor he was engaged at universities in Austria, USA, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and BiH. He was elected a professor at RISEBA University Latvia where he has been teaching since 2011. He has more than 20 years of experience in providing consulting services and has been engaged in more than 170 projects for domestic and foreign clients. It is too participated in more than a hundred trainings and seminars. The author and co-author is 95 papers published at domestic and international conferences, as well as in scientific and professional journals. He is the author of several monographs and chapters in books and textbooks in the field of marketing. He has attended professional development programs at the London School of Economics in the UK, the Queen’s School of Business in Canada, the University of Alberta in Canada, the University of Bologna in Italy, Charles University Prague in the Czech Republic Republic, Bled School of Management in Slovenia, etc. Key qualifications relate to marketing and digital marketing, tourism, strategic planning, entrepreneurship and SME development.
